Patient Information
If you have a disability or injury and need
experienced prosthetic or orthotic care, let us help. Each
of our member facilities offers the full spectrum of orthotic,
prosthetic and pedorthic services. Many of our professional
staff members are nationally recognized in their areas of
specialty. Our professional staff participates in the research,
design and field testing of new technology.
We are the technology leaders in the prosthetics
and orthotics field. All devices fitted by our member companies
are custom fabricated on-site at their facilities. Our members
in Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi were the first in their
states to embrace CAD/CAM technology; our member facility
in Arkansas remains the only privately-owned CAD/CAM-equipped
facility in that state.
Prosthetics:
Upper Extremity Prosthetics:
Our capabilities encompass the entire array of options from
the basic to the most advanced myo-electric prostheses. Only
3% of all amputations are upper extremity; thus it is important
that upper extremity patients make contact with practitioners
who are experienced and knowledgeable about the most efficacious
treatment options to consider for these cases.
Lower Extremity Prosthetics:
We are committed to using the lightest weight components possible,
in conjunction with applied new technological advancements
in lower extremity prosthetics to create the most appropriate
prosthesis for each individual.
Each member facility in our network is expert in specialized
solutions for any number of patient needs, ranging from juvenile
to athletic patients, from geriatric to distinctive cases
such as extremely high amputation levels, e.g. hemi-pelvectomies.
When the situation requires it, we are adept at creatively
fitting and fabricating more basic prostheses that allow the
patient as much comfort and mobility as possible.
Orthotics:
Each of our member companies’ orthotics departments
is under the guidance of ABC or BOC certified orthotists with
many years of experience. This level of experience and expertise
on both the patient service and management sides of the business
is of lasting benefit to the patients of our Network.
Juvenile Orthotics:
This is a specialized field requiring dedication and the ability
to be creative and effective in order to achieve maximum patient
and parental compliance. It cannot be perceived as making
smaller versions of adult devices, as the needs of this patient
population are unique. Issues in addition to compliance include
the growth rates of children and adolescents as well as particular
treatments and monitoring not applicable to adult patients.
Geriatric Orthotics:
As with juvenile orthotics, this specialized field demands
experience and insights into the unique orthotic requirements
of the elderly, who are generally less flexible and adaptable
than younger patients, and typically heal and adjust at a
slower rate.
General Orthotics:
Our expertise extends to all areas of spinal, upper extremity
and lower extremity orthotics. We fit and fabricate the most
lightweight, comfortable orthoses for increased patient satisfaction,
improved compliance and best results.
Pedorthics:
Each member facility includes full service pedorthic departments,
managed by certified pedorthists. These services include a
full range of therapeutic shoes, custom shoes and inserts.
