PrimeCare O&P Network Elects New
Board Members
The PrimeCare O&P Network recently
elected new members and officers to its Board of Directors.
Daniel G. Oglesby, Jr.,
CPO, President, Alabama Center for Prosthetics & Orthotics,
Inc., dba Birmingham Limb and Brace, is a second-generation
orthotist who received his B.A. from Jacksonville State University,
and subsequent prosthetic and orthotic training at Shelby
State Community College in Memphis, TN. He is a past president
of the Louisiana Orthotics & Prosthetics Association,
and a former board member of the Cerebral Palsy Association
of New Orleans. He has served as an examiner for the American
Board for Certification in both prosthetics and orthotics,
and has also served on various AOPA committees, and chaired
their insurance committee.
He was a contributing author to “The
Atlas of Limb Prosthetics & Surgical and Prosthetics Principles”
(Second Edition, 1992).
John Reynolds, CPO,
Reynolds Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc., is a 1982 graduate
of Clayton State, and holds certificates in orthotics and
prosthetics from Northwestern University. He has previously
served on the ABC Board of Directors, and as ABC President
in 2001. He is currently serving on the AOPA Board of Directors
and is also a member of the ABC CPM examination team. In addition,
he operates two full-time patient care facilities in Maryville
and Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Oglesby and Reynolds were elected
to Board membership in October, and installed with newly-elected
officers: Chairman W. Clint Snell, CPO, Snell’s Limbs
& Braces, Inc., Shreveport, Louisiana; Vice Chairman Frank
Snell, CPO, FAAOP, Snell Prosthetic & Orthotic Laboratory,
Little Rock, Arkansas; Secretary Ted Snell, CP, CFI Prosthetics-Orthotics,
Memphis, Tennessee.
Returning board members are Bruce
P. McClellan, CPO, Prosthetic-Orthotic Associates, Tyler,
Texas; Keith Senn, COO, Center for Orthotic & Prosthetic
Care, Louisville, Kentucky; and Terry Shaw, CP, BOCOP, FAAOP,
Shaw’s Prosthetics Plus, Owensboro, Kentucky.
The Board is currently finalizing
the agenda for the network’s PrimeFare 2005 seminar,
which again includes a popular tech workshop series and pedorthic
track in addition to the freshly updated prosthetic, orthotic,
and administrative tracks. The agenda will offer a total of
more than 60 CEU’s.
The fifth annual PrimeFare Seminar,
June 24-25, will be kicked off by the Ronney Snell Memorial
Golf Meet, to be held June 23, 2005, at Nashville’s
Springhouse Golf Club.
