Our Mission: PrimeCare Orthotic, Prosthetic, Pedorthic Network is dedicated to America’s independently owned facilities. To this end:

• We facilitate contracting with National and Regional Managed Care Organizations on behalf of our membership
  
  
• Provide cost-effective education to both practitioners and payers
  
  
• Negotiate discounts with PrimeCare Partners that benefit members with savings from manufacturers, service professionals and others
  
  
• Give our members the opportunity to network with like-minded business owners and practitioners.
  
  
• We believe that the more independents that are working together, the more we can overcome the many obstacles that face our field every day. In order to gain and maintain fair reimbursements and combat the many competitive factors that independents face daily, we must band together to develop a Network that will have the “critical mass” number of high quality provider members. This critical mass will give us the tools to demand fair and equitable treatment by managed care and other entities related to the preservation of our livelihoods.

Our History: PrimeCare Network was founded in 1998 as a small regional network that included 3 family owned practices in Arkansas, Louisiana and Tennessee. At that time, managed care was only in the beginning phases in the Southeastern part of the country.
Since that time, as managed care came into the prosthetics and orthotics arenas nationwide, the Network has continued to grow. And, this growth is ongoing. Click on link for a full member listing

Benefits to Prosthetic, Orthotic and Pedorthic Practices:

• Facilitation of Contracts: PrimeCare Network has national contracts in place that cover over 125 million lives. Join us and you can decide which of our contracts you would like to be included and which ones you prefer to decline. We give our members a choice. • No Centralized Billing: It is our opinion, that between negotiated fee schedules, TPA’s taking their bite and expedited payment arrangements from MCO’s, our provider members are losing enough bits and pieces out payment for their services. Thus, PrimeCare has elected not to centralize bill. You file your claims and the reimbursement comes directly to you from the contracted entity.
  
  
• PrimeCare Partners: Our PrimeCare Partner discounts are part of PrimeCare membership. We negotiate with suppliers, service organizations and others to provide you with preferred pricing. We also ask for member input into which suppliers and other services would best benefit our membership in order to pursue those opportunities on your behalf.
  
  
• Mentoring/Networking: This aspect of our Network is one of the intangible benefits. As a member of the PrimeCare family, you will have access to other members, who are facing the same or similar issues as you are. This ready-made network connects our members with other practices which may be larger or smaller than yours, who may have been in business for generations—or just started up. Experience and advice can be freely shared without concern that your competitors will be alerted to your internal issues or situation
